Vacation Ownership - What's Happening

2009

NEWS FLASH!

We have come into the 21st Century. Wireless internet is now available at the Belair!! Just buy a card at the Front Desk and sit in your apartment, on the patio, the terrace, restaurant, beach, etc. and be in contact with the world or use our computer.

Dear Friends,

Something is always happening at the Belair! We are continuously upgrading, maintaining, replacing, etc.

Hurricane Omar in October took its toll. We have replaced the pool deck, the towel booth, the plants, the foot baths on the beach level apartments, some furniture, lighting, etc. and power washed the building. Some things will be done when the occupancy goes down.

We hope to be able to finish the shower stalls in the small bathroom this year in all the apartments. We continue to replace some bedroom furniture. We have finished the counters in the kitchens. We will finish the tiling of the first floor hallway as well as repairing of the stairwells.

Gingerbread Cafe is still doing great. Ruphus and his staff continue to keep us all smiling with their delicious food and wonderful service.

The Government which was supposed to dredge the harbor last year and bring the sand here still has not done so but they say they will do it this year. We repaired the sea groins after the hurricane so we can help Mother Nature keep the sand on our beach.

We have many new projects which we are starting this year. Such as replacing the air-conditioning thermostats in the apartments, replacing the faucets in the kitchen as well as in the bathrooms. We finally found a company who says they can repair our sliding doors so they will be repaired so that they slide easier. We have gotten an upgrade for our sewage plant to help us keep "green". We will finish tiling the first floor corridor. Unlike other resorts we renovate some items in the hotel every year. In this manner we will hopefully never have assessments, huge jumps in maintenance etc. for modernizations and replacements.

Please remember that the St. Maarten Timeshare Association has contracted with SGS Travelscope for lower airfares for our Owners and your guests.
